Job summary

Uppteam in Surat, India, is seeking a skilled drafter to join the design team. You will assemble details, shop drawings and submittal packages for wall cladding systems, collaborating closely with architects and engineers to translate plans into precise drawings.

You will leverage Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD and SketchUp to prepare shop drawings from architectural plans, read construction documents, and communicate technical data to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and SketchUp software is required.
• In-depth familiarity with the architectural design process, drafting, modelling, annotation, coordination and documentation.
• Exposure to drafting associated with US construction and/or building envelope details is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents from architectural drawings, structural drawings, and related construction specifications.
• Strong organisational skills with a self-driven personality.
• Problem-solving ability and strong research and development skills.
• Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office programs, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Job description

Proficient use of computer-based drawing software: Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp

Ability to perform drafting, layout work and straightforward calculations relative to design/construction drawings

Prepare shop drawings from supplied architectural plans and sketches

Communicate with the identified stakeholders of the project to gather proper technical data for each project.

Provide timely updates on drawing completion and workload

Perform component-based material takeoffs from prepared shop drawings
