Job summary

Spacekala, based in Pune, seeks a curious, organized junior designer to grow across design, documentation, site execution and technology. You’ll work closely with the Studio Lead to develop drawings, coordinate materials and support on-site execution.

You should have 1–1.5 years of relevant experience, excellent English, strong communication, organizational and time-management skills, and a practical approach to design with attention to detail and proficiency with AI tools.

Role Description

We’re looking for someone who is curious, organised and excited to grow across design, documentation, site execution and technology.

You should have:

• A good understanding of architectural and interior drawings
• A practical, well-researched approach to design
• The ability to develop ideas that balance function and aesthetics
• Strong attention to detail
• Very good proficiency with AI tools
• The willingness to learn, ask questions and take ownership of your work

We are not looking for someone who:

• Just does what they’re told without thinking about why something needs to be done.
• Needs constant guidance or supervision to move work forward.
• Waits for someone else to identify problems instead of trying to understand and solve them independently.
• Needs to be constantly managed to stay on top of deadlines, pending tasks and responsibilities.
• Takes feedback personally instead of using it to improve their work.
• Is only interested in producing drawings and has no curiosity about how the design is actually executed on site.
• Avoids responsibility when something goes wrong.
• Is looking for a role where they can simply follow instructions rather than learn, contribute and grow.

You’ll work closely with the Team Lead across design development, drawings, material research, site coordination and execution support—while continuously building your technical and design skills.
