Job summary

Finac in Chennai is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will support senior accountants with day-to-day tasks, including data entry, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, with regular visits to client locations.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience and a degree in commerce/finance/accounting. You will apply basic accounting principles, use Excel and Office tools, and contribute to month-end and year-end closings with accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in commerce, finance, or accounting.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Help in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
• Assist with preparing tax returns and other compliance documents.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
