About the job Junior Accountant

Looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with hands-on experience in GST and overall taxation. The candidate will be responsible for managing statutory tax compliance, ensuring timely filings, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with current tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Help with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by senior accountants or management.
• Assist in income tax calculations and advance tax payments.
• Prepare and file TDS/TCS returns and ensure timely deposit of taxes.
• Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Preferred Skills:

• Internship or prior 1-year experience in an accounting role.
• Good knowledge of GST and tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
