Overview

The Merchandising role is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring merchandising strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and brand presentation. The position works closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and store operations to ensure the right products are available at the right place, time, and price.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandising plans aligned with business and sales objectives
• Manage product assortment, space planning, and product placement across channels
• Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and inventory turnover
• Analyze sell-through, margins, and category performance to drive decisions
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure brand standards and visual merchandising guidelines are followed
• Support promotional planning, pricing strategies, and product launches
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare regular merchandising and performance reports
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field
• 36+ years of experience in merchandising, retail, or category management
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising systems
• Understanding of retail KPIs (sell-through, GMROI, inventory turns)
