Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Jr. Associate‑EU‑Market Source Sourcing, entry level, to support sourcing activities and ensure material availability in the supply chain.

Responsibilities include sourcing non-catalog products, negotiating with suppliers, and processing SAP orders to meet customer requirements. Ideal candidates are Life Science fresh graduates with strong communication and computer skills, familiar with MS Word, Excel, and Access, and willing to work in shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Fresh Life Science graduates with excellent communication, stability and flexibility to work in any shift preferred.
• Proficiency in Life Science product range with respective unit of measures.
• Organizational and computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.

• Source non-catalog products from Market Source suppliers for customers based on product codes, descriptions and applications required.
• Negotiate with Manufacturers & Suppliers on prices, discounts, payment terms and delivery dates.
• Review and validate cross-references; work with Cross-Reference team to update system for future use.
• Provide quotations to Customers through SAP adhering to the MS pricing policy.
• Process MS orders in SAP on the supply base.

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for Jr. Associate‑EU‑Market Source Sourcing, entry level position who can provide support to the sourcing function. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Monitors inventory requests, production schedules and purchase requisitions to coordinate purchasing activities for current/anticipated demand of materials and services. Collects suppliers’ quotations and examines bids. Identifies and selects suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, and delivery.

Job Description

To understand the Customers product requirements and source non‑catalog products from Market Source suppliers for customers based on product codes, descriptions and applications required.

• Product understanding to suggest same product from Alternate suppliers, as required.


• Negotiate with Manufacturers & Suppliers on prices, discounts, payment terms and delivery dates.


• Understand departmental standards and procedures and help to ensure that quality standards are met.


• Understand and follow the different guidelines for each project.


• Use product knowledge, to find new cross‑references based on provided data (competitor information, descriptions, manufacturer part numbers)


• Review and validate cross‑references provided by the system


• Work with the Cross-Reference team to ensure all new crosses are added to the system for future use.


• Enhance the final bid or quote with robust descriptions, images, promotions, or other relevant material.


• Complete assignments on time and understanding on the product hierarchy.


• Volunteer to assist with special projects, or as per business requirement.


• Provide quotations to Customers through C4C adhering to the MS pricing policy.


• To process MS orders in SAP on the supply base.


• Process any Customer request that relates to Third Party products.


• Understand the complexities of Product Master Data and resolve them internally.


• Liaise with external sales to assist them with any Customers inquiries that relate to Third Party product.

Qualification

Life Science fresher with excellent communication, stability, and flexibility to work in any shift preferred. Proficiency in Life Science product range with respective unit of measures. Organizational and computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access, and format within MS Word and Excel preferred.
