Job Description :

As a Network Reliability Engineer (NRE), you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software, infrastructure, and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Your support and software development efforts will focus on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and reducing work through automation. You will join a team of curious problem solvers with diverse perspectives who think big and take risks. In this environment, you will lead relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the necessary support and mentorship for your growth. As an NRE, your focus will be on running better production applications and systems.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• Ability to articulate and share clear, concise, and complex technical findings with management in understandable terms
• Proficiency in key areas such as:
• Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
• Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program management, network management)
• Design (compliance, security)
• Network Engineering (planning, provisioning)
• Proficiency in more than one specific infrastructure technology and large-scale software development in languages like C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, C#, .NET
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the organization using SCRUM practices
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.
• Focus on availability, latency, reliability, and failure testing in day-to-day operations
• Work with Product Owner teams to develop scalability and performance metrics via SLI/SLO/Error budgets
• Identify manual operational tasks and develop automation solutions within a modern SRE support model
• Experience diagnosing performance issues in complex distributed applications leveraging infrastructure and application telemetry
• Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise network topologies including LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security and services. Examples include Cisco (ASR, GSR, Nexus), Juniper, Check Point, F5, Blue Coat, etc. Certifications in these areas are preferred
• 10+ years of experience in information technology focusing on routing, switching, or security networking. (CCNP to CCIE). Strong background in packet capture tools and analysis (Niksun, ARX/AIX, Endace, cPacket)
