Job summary

ADVIK is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its automotive components manufacturing operations in Bengaluru. You will ensure BOP inspection at receipt stage, drive line quality, and support annual material testing plans to uphold quality objectives.

The role requires BE or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering with 1–3 years (BE) or 2–5 years (Diploma) of relevant manufacturing experience; familiarity with TPM, QMS documentation, and cross-functional coordination will be valued.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering
• Experience: BE 1-3 years; Diploma 2-5 years
• Automotive components manufacturing experience including casting, machining, sheet metal, rubber, plastic, springs & fasteners

Responsibilities

• Receipt Quality: Inspect BOP parts against the inspection standard; reject, verify and book BOP; update section heads on abnormalities and act per guidelines; maintain inspection records.
• Annual Testing: Dispatch samples for material testing as per plan; conduct child parts layout inspection per plan; perform salt spray testing as per plan.
• Line Quality: Verify line-rejection parts against quality standards; meet annual inventory targets; participate in TPM plant improvements; contribute to VIP cost-saving initiatives; coordinate with cross-functional teams for process improvements.
• Quality Management System: Maintain records as per plant QMS; participate in establishing safety management system OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001; participate in quality month activities

Job Purpose:

Ensure BOP inspection at receipt stage& contribute in achievement of quality objectives set by company.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Receipt Quality

• Ensure inspection ofBOP parts against inspection standard.
• Ensure rejection, verificationand booking of BOP.
• Provide updates to sectionhead for observed quality abnormality during inspection and proceed as perguidelines.
• Maintain the inspectionrecords properly.
• Collect all data andprovide support to section heads for consolidation of monthly supplierquality MIS report and support preparation of PPT for management for monthlymanagement review.

AnnualTesting

• Dispatch samples formaterial testing as per annual material testing plan.
• Do child parts layoutinspection as per annual layout inspection plan.
• Do salt spraytesting as per annual testing plan.

Line Quality

• Verify the linerejection parts against quality standard to confirm no line rejection is dueto poor input part quality.
• Meet shop floorinventory targets achievement as per set annual targets.
• Participate in QM pillarin plant TPM structure, for plant manufacturing excellence journey.
• Contribute in the valueaddition for company annual VIP program by initiating manufacturing costsaving projects.
• Coordinate withcross functional team members at plant for continual process improvements to improve the product quality.

Quality ManagementSystem

• Maintain all recordsand documents as per plant quality management system.
• Participate forestablishment of safety management system OHSAS 18001 & environmentmanagement system ISO 14001, along with plant HR and maint. function.
• Participate in qualitymonth celebration in plant in line with business excellence team driven activityplan.
