Job summary

Yokogawa India Limited in Bengaluru seeks a DCS System Application Engineer to drive DCS/PLC/SCADA application development, design and testing, and remote start-up support. The role requires 1–7 years of hands-on experience in industrial process control, P&ID handling, IO databases, and instrument standards.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech Electronics or Instrumentation & Control Engineering required.
• 1–7 years of experience in industrial process control and DCS/PLC/SCADA.
• Knowledge of P&ID, IO databases, control narratives, and instrumentation standards.
• Exposure to DCS/PLC/SCADA application engineering (coding).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers for CKOM/detailed engineering.
• Understand EPC/DCS requirements for application development.
• Support techno-commercial matters for the Group Manager.
• Perform Yokogawa DCS Basic & Detailed Design, implement control apps, test, and support FAT/start-up remotely.
• Report progress to Lead Engineer/Group Manager.

Work experience:

Work experience in Industrial Process control, DCS / PLC / SCADA Automation engineering. Should have work experience of at least 1-7 years in these areas.

Travel:

Related to project meetings at customer office / site as required & Site-specific requirements in case required.

Skills & Competency:

Exposure to DCS / PLC / SCADA Application Engineering (coding)

Knowledge engineering documents (P&ID's, IO databases, control narratives, instrumentation standards)

Preparation of Functional Design Specs, HMI design, implementation of control strategies and integrated Testing

Exposure to concepts and knowledge of technologies such as Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, OPC, third party system serial interface.

Exposure to Yokogawa DCS / Prosafe RS system, sequence / batch programming, C / C++ Languages, field instrumentations would be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Customer coordination for CKOM / detailed engineering

Understanding of Customer / EPC Requirements in terms DCS application development. Support to Group Manager in terms of techno-commercial matters.

Work includes Yokogawa DCS Basic & Detailed Design, Implementation of Controls applications, Testing, conducting Pre-FAT / FAT and start-up support remotely

Report to Lead Engineer / Group Manager on work progress and necessary coordination
