Job Title: IT Deskside/Desktop Support Engineer
Department: Digital Support Services
Location: Aurangabad

What this job involves:
We are looking for a highly impactful & resourceful IT Deskside Professional to support Technology Solutions Team and help manage its IT Infrastructure and Managed Services effectively and efficiently. The role is critical and would support Infrastructure Services needs at Aurangabad, India region.

Responsibilities:

  1. Proven work experience as Desktop Support Engineer or Support Technician.
  2. Frontline team member to handle IT infrastructure queries.
  3. Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
  4. Understanding of Active Directory object, User, Group, policy.
  5. Knowledge of popular operating systems (Windows 10, Mac, Linux), software applications, and remote user assistance.
  6. Collaborate with company central Infrastructure Support team.
  7. Co-ordination and troubleshooting with support vendors for Server and network.
  8. Collaboration with large support team to execute/implement companywide project plans.
  9. Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
  10. Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
  11. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  12. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  13. Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking.
  14. Application license procurement and deploy.
  15. Installing/upgrading applications and computer peripherals.
  16. Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
  17. Conduct remote troubleshooting.
  18. Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue.
  19. Record technical issues and solutions in logs.
  20. Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
  21. Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.
  22. Help create technical documentation and manuals.
  23. Office infrastructure health check (Network, N/W printer, RFID devices, Projectors, AV devices, office facility IT equipment).
  24. Assistance in Onboarding/Exit process of employees.
  25. Reporting to Manager for ongoing projects/tasks.
  26. ITIL certification/process knowledge will be an added advantage.

Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Background with 2-4 years of Experience in IT Deskside Support and Management.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience of working in a competitive IT Environment.
  2. Strong knowledge on IT Deskside and Management activities.
  3. Good working knowledge on Windows, Macs, Linux and Unix environment.
  4. Good Experience and knowledge in Operating Systems Upgrades and Fix Patches.
  5. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization of Systems.
  6. Knowledge in handling ticket tool, MS Office Packages and desktop related issues.
  7. Experience in Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Antivirus and Backup.
  8. Basic knowledge in Switches, Routers & Firewalls, and Network Monitoring Tools.
  9. Basic knowledge on VOIP technology.
  10. Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Documentation.
  11. Excellent communication skills, with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner.
  12. Flexible and provide support through 24×7 window.
  13. IT Based Certifications preferred.
