Responsibilities
- Polishing and Finishing: Use hand and power tools, including buffing wheels and polishing compounds, to remove scratches, dullness, and imperfections from gold, silver, platinum, and other metals.
- Cleaning and Inspection: Clean jewellery thoroughly with ultrasonic machines and inspect pieces for quality, ensuring they meet high standards before sale or return to customers.
- Minor Repairs: Perform small repairs, such as fixing loose clasps or settings, to restore pieces to their best condition.
- Tool and Supply Management: Maintain and inspect tools, ensure proper inventory levels of supplies, and keep the workspace clean and organized.
- Safety Adherence: Follow strict safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and eye protection, when working with tools and chemicals.
