Job summary

Acesoft Labs in Bengaluru is seeking a JavaScript Automation Lead to own end-to-end test automation for web apps in a hybrid work setup. You will design, implement and maintain automation frameworks, write robust test scripts, and drive quality across release cycles.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including US counterparts, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and mentor juniors while ensuring scalable, reliable automation solutions using Playwright, Selenium and Appium.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong JavaScript programming and OOP concepts.
• Experience with web UI automation using Selenium or Appium.
• Proficient with Mocha/Chai and Playwright frameworks.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Own QA and automation strategy for assigned applications.
• Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts.
• Develop robust automation for web apps using Selenium/Appium.
• Analyze failures and provide quality improvements.
• Collaborate with US team for night shifts and cross-timezone coordination.

Job Overview

As a JavaScript Automation Lead , you will be responsible for end-to-end test automation for web/ applications, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This includes designing, developing, maintaining automation frameworks, and contributing toward overall quality initiatives and CI/CD integration.

Primary Responsibilities

Own the QA and automation strategy for assigned applications

Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using JavaScript and Playwright

Develop robust test automation solutions for web and platforms (using Selenium/Appium)

Analyze and debug automation failures, providing insights for quality improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies (US team involvement required, including night s)

Identify areas of improvement and implement automation enhancements

Ensure CI/CD integration and maintain automation pipelines

Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing

Mandatory Skills

Strong JavaScript programming skills with OOPs concepts

Experience with JS-based testing frameworks such as Mocha, Chai
