Weekday AI (YC W21) in Bengaluru invites an experienced Java Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable software. You will balance hands-on coding with technical leadership, guiding teams, shaping architectures, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

You'll work with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, event-driven solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, and ReactJS.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software development experience, with Java-based application development.
• Experience in Technical Lead/Lead Engineer or similar senior role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, data modeling, queries, and performance optimization.
• Strong working knowledge of ReactJS and modern frontend concepts.
• Experience building Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, design patterns, and software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications using Java and Spring-based technologies.
• Design and develop robust microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers throughout the development lifecycle.

• Design and optimize data models and integrations using MongoDB and other databases.

We are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance software solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, requiring strong expertise in Java, ReactJS, Apache Kafka, Jenkins, and MongoDB.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for making key technical decisions, guiding engineering teams, designing robust application architectures, and ensuring high-quality delivery. You will work closely with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable and scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications usingJava and Spring-based technologies.
