Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot based microservices, building scalable REST APIs and integrating with downstream/upstream systems. Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Spring Bootbased microservices following best practices.
  
• Build scalable and resilient REST APIs and integrate with downstream/upstream systems.
  
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, offsets).
  
• Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman / REST clients; ensure data accuracy and response integrity.
  
• Write unit, integration, and functional test cases for services and APIs.
  
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide fixes.
  
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects for end-to-end delivery.
  
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and performance benchmarks.
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews).
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5–6+ years of experience in Java with strong hands-on expertise in Spring Boot.
  
• Solid experience in Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
  
• Hands-on exposure to Kafka for message streaming and asynchronous processing.
  
• Strong experience in API testing, validation, and debugging.
  
• Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and API contracts.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
