Job summary

HSBC Software Development India is seeking a Consultant Specialist with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise. You will design, code and test Java Spring Boot programs in a cloud environment, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for microservices.

The role requires CI/CD experience with Jenkins and Maven, as well as familiarity with SQL databases like PostgreSQL and BigQuery. The position offers a hybrid work model in Hyderabad, with opportunities to contribute to global HSBC initiatives and grow

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot in cloud environments.
• Experience in microservices architecture and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools: Jenkins and Maven.
• Experience with DevOps tools: Confluence and JIRA.
• Proficient in Cloud platforms and relational databases (PostgreSQL/BigQuery).

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Understand the Design and Requirements and develop and execute custom application features and functions
• Design, Code, Test, Debug, Java Spring boot programs in Cloud environment
• Create estimates for small to medium size projects
• Create high level design and as well as analyse and develop code as per specifications
• Review of design/code/Unit test results
• Follow standards and controls to ensure quality of outcome
• Support production deployment and post development implementation activities
• Perform application support as necessary; participate and drive the Crisis Calls for production incidents
• Identify and work on system performance improvement

To be successful, you will:

• Strong knowledge of Java Springboot. kafka and has the ability to design and implement micro services using the Spring boot framework
• Experience in micro services architecture. Thorough Understanding of OOPS concept. Fair exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with the following tools and technologies: OAuth, JWT, XML, RAML, SWAGGER, JSON, SOAP, XSLT
• Hands-on experience in using and developing Continuous Integration pipeline using Jenkins, Maven, and other CI tools used in DevOps ecosystem
• Fair knowledge and experience of DevOps & Agile discipline. Confluence, JIRA, Unix / Linux
• Strong experience on complex SQL queries. Cloud technology and application support on cloud (GCP knowledge is appreciated)
• Strong knowledge of databases (CloudSQL/Postgresql/Bigquery). Strong interpersonal and communications skills
