SKIDATA, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Bangalore. You will own end-to-end software delivery, shape the R&D roadmap with stakeholders, and translate client needs into robust solutions with Architects and TRMs.

You’ll drive production defect resolution and streamline critical processes for fast closure. You will work in a collaborative, global R&D team, applying Java 8+, microservices, REST APIs, and modern tooling to deliver enterprise-grade software

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Computer Science.
• 5+ years hands-on software development experience.
• Strong Java 8+ and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with ORM and REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Designing scalable microservices.
• Familiar with CI/CD and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with testing (JUnit/Cypress).
• Strong debugging and logging with ELK.
• Good communication and agile mindset.

Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

What You’ll Do

• Own End-to-End Delivery: Code, design, execute, and take full responsibility for the delivery and maintenance of software projects and products.
• Shape the R&D Roadmap: Partner with business stakeholders to define project deliverables and manage the roadmap of R&D initiatives.
• Bridge Client Needs: Collaborate with Technical Relationship Managers and Architects to translate client-initiated R&D requests into robust solutions.
• Drive Issue Resolution: Act as the go-to point of contact for managing and driving production defects through to resolution.
• Streamline Critical Processes: Tailor processes to manage time-sensitive issues and bring them to swift, effective closure.

What You Bring

• Engineering bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent) in Computer Science
• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience
• Strong working knowledge of Java 8+, ORM, and Spring Boot, with experience in a testing framework such as JUnit or Cypress
• Practical experience with at least one relational database (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
• Proven experience designing scalable microservices solutions
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, strong debugging skills, and experience with log frameworks such as ELK
• Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript, with responsive design coding skills; experience with Angular is a plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Docker/Kubernetes, and knowledge of a message queue such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, is a plus
• Demonstrated track record delivering enterprise‑grade software end‑to‑end, including providing technical guidance to others
• Strong background in continuous integration practices, with excellent analytical, reasoning, and communication skills
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to advocate for and influence multiple stakeholders
• Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to work well in and across teams
