Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Chennai is seeking a backend Java engineer to design, develop, and operate high-performance microservices for telecom network management platforms. You will implement REST APIs, real-time data processing with Apache Kafka, and secure, scalable services in a cloud-native environment.

You will collaborate with architects, product teams, QA, and operations, contributing to architecture discussions, CI/CD pipelines, and production support.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+) and backend development.
• Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Kafka experience for event-driven real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with Telecom NMS/EMS platforms and OSS/BSS concepts.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift; cloud familiarity (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
