Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a senior application engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in design, development and implementations, focusing on cloud-native architectures, GKE, Terraform and CI/CD.

The role requires strong Java/Spring microservices skills, Python/Shell scripting, and a collaborative, agile mindset to build scalable solutions across PAN India.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application design, development and implementations.
• 3+ years of experience with building modern applications utilizing Cloud Build, Cloud Functions/Cloud Run, GKE, Logging, GCS, BigQuery & IAM
• In-depth knowledge with GKE/K8s and container technologies like Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Experience in Python and/or shell scripting; Golang is a plus
• Solid understanding of Java/J2EE/Spring/Microservice/API development
• Understanding of event-driven design with Kafka/stream processing
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo (or similar)
• Experience with Maven, JUnit/Mockito, and JMeter
• Software engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, performance engineering
• Experience with Agile development and Git
• Strong problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Three or more of the following engineering skills

JOB DISCRIPTION

Skills Required

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application design, development and implementations.
• 3 + years of experience with building modern applications utilizing services like Cloud Build, Cloud Functions/ Cloud Run, GKE, Logging, GCS, BigQuery & IAM
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with GKE/K8s.
• Proficiency in Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience in Python and/or shell scripting. A secondary language such as Golang is added advantage.
• Experience working with container technologies like Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of Java/J2EE/Spring/Microservice/API development to be able to design, build and support them in production.
• Foundational understanding of event-driven design principles for efficient service interactions utilizing Kafka/stream processing frameworks.
• Expertise with building CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo (or similar)
• Expertise with Maven, Robot, Mockito, Junit and JMeter
• Able to demonstrate experience with software engineering practices including CI/CD, Automated testing and Performance Engineering.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Experience working with a distributed version control and source code management tool such as Git.
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
