Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior Java engineer to design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Spring Boot and microservices. The role involves building event-driven architectures with Kafka and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS, including MSK, EC2, ECS, S3, and RDS.

You will work across databases, caching, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring security and performance in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and developing enterprise Java applications.
• Strong familiarity with Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems and messaging with Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop clean, reusable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices.
• Build scalable event-driven workflows with Kafka topics, partitions, producers and consumers.
• Architect and maintain cloud-native apps on AWS, including MSK, EC2, ECS, S3, Lambdas and RDS.
• Integrate relational (PostgreSQL/Aurora) and NoSQL databases with caching (Redis).
• Containerize apps with Docker; orchestrate with Kubernetes; implement IaC with Terraform; manage CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Implement security protocols (OAuth2.0, JWT, mTLS) and optimize performance through refactoring and caching.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design and develop clean, reusable, and maintainable enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Event-Driven Architecture: Build scalable messaging workflows by implementing Apache Kafka ecosystems, including designing Kafka topics, partitions, producers, consumers, and managing consumer lags.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Integration: Architect and maintain resilient, cloud-native applications on AWS, integrating with managed solutions like AWS MSK (Managed Streaming for Kafka), EC2, ECS, S3, Lambdas, and RDS.
• Database Management: Integrate systems with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Aurora) and NoSQL databases, utilizing caching mechanisms like Redis.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes; automate deployments by writing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Security & Optimization: Implement web service security protocols (OAuth2.0, JWT, mTLS) and optimize high-volume application performance through code refactoring, effective partition strategy, and caching.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Code Reviews) and collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product owners.
