Responsibilities include designing scalable cloud-native architectures, implementing robust testing and observability, and driving API-first integration strategies with REST, GraphQL, and event-driven patterns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in API microservices development using SpringBoot and Java with focus on security and performance.
• 10+ years of hands-on cloud architecture in public cloud (GCP preferred).
• 10+ years of unit testing with JUnit, Rest Assured or similar.
• 5+ years leading distributed teams across geographies and time zones.
• 5+ years building scalable cloud-native architectures.
• 5+ years using CI/CD tools: GitHub, Jenkins.
• 10+ years API development emphasis on security and performance.
• 5+ years debugging and performance testing microservices.
• 3+ years Redis and distributed cache technologies.
• 3+ years Kafka or Pub/Sub and event driven patterns.
• 10+ years working in Agile environments.
• Strong performance engineering, capacity planning, load testing, caching layers, observability.
• API-first integration: REST, GraphQL, event-driven (Kafka/PubSub), streaming.
• Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, or similar stacks.
• Database development in relational and NoSQL (SpannerDB, CosmosDB).
• Strong communication and leadership across stakeholders.

Job description

Required:

• 10+ years of experience in performing API microservices development using SpringBoot and Java, with an emphasis on security and performance.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in architecting, designing and deploying applications in a public cloud environment (GCP preferred).
• 10+ years of experience developing and writing unit tests using JUnit, Rest Assured or similar framework.
• 5+ years of experience leading development with engineers in multiple geographical locations and time zones
• 5+ years of experience working on building scalable cloud native architecture
• 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub, Jenkins.
• 10+ years of experience with API development, with an emphasis on security and performance.
• 5+ experience with microservice-based debugging and performance testing software.
• 3+ years distributed cache technologies such as Redis.
• 3+ years event and pub/sub technologies like GCP Pub/Sub, or Kafka.
• 10+ years of experience developing within an agile methodology.
• Strong understanding of performance engineering, capacity planning, load testing, caching layers (CDN, Akamai/Fastly/CloudFront), and observability (APM, logs, metrics, tracing)
• Strong background in API-first integration patterns, including REST, GraphQL, event‑driven integration (Kafka/PubSub), and real‑time data streaming.
• Some expertise with modern eCommerce platforms, such as SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, or equivalent enterprise commerce stacks
• Solid knowledge of database application development in relational and no‑SQL platforms, such as SpannerDB or CosmosDB.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate to both technical and Business audiences.
• Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, effectively conveying product vision and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Positive, can-do attitude and collaboration a must.
