Project Description

This role is part of the AI Services team within the AML umbrella, tasked with building shared Data Platform services and API services that power many AML initiatives such as ProductFinder-Search2.0 and RMN-Adtech, and support the Feature Store Platform used for creating shared features that aid personalization using ML models for various use cases across the enterprise.

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Backend/Data Engineers with expertise in Java, real‑time streaming and batch ingestion pipelines, and scalable REST API services, preferably using Google Cloud Platform. The technology stack includes Spring, Micronaut, Cloud Run, Google Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, BigTable, Cassandra, Redis, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• At least five to ten years of relevant systems software engineering experience and a BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience).

• Experience designing and building high‑performance, highly resilient, and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building low latency, highly scalable Java REST API services.
• Experience building complex data pipelines using GCP Dataflow or other streaming frameworks.
• Experience with service development, NoSQL databases, Pub/Sub or other queuing technologies.
• Experience with TDD, Agile, paired programming, and aggressive refactoring.
• The ability to prioritize effectively, communicate clearly, and show attention to detail and high commitment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with programming languages such as Python.
• Experience building real‑time stream‑processing applications.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with NoSQL data stores (Redis, Cassandra, etc.).
• Knowledge of modern deployment tools such as Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Ability and aptitude to dig into and solve challenging problems proactively.
• Enthusiastic and excited about technology.
• Open and honest, willing to share and accept feedback and ideas.
• Strives to continuously improve oneself and the team.

Experience: 5‑8 years.
