Job summary

Ascendion in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a hands-on Java back-end engineer. You will develop applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, run on Tomcat/WebLogic, and integrate RESTful services with Hibernate or iBatis.

You'll write SQL for Oracle, craft XML/web services, and contribute to UI layers with JSP/Servlets. You will work in an agile, cloud-native environment, using CI/CD tools and Git for source control.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering Java-based applications including design, development, testing, and operations.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, Kafka, EKS/EC2, Glue Jobs, and familiarity with Lucene/Elastic Search is a plus.
• Strong automation and CI/CD practices and full SDLC understanding.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and secure software development.

• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience
