Job summary

Infosys is seeking a skilled software professional in Chennai to design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using Java and related technologies.

You will build frontend and backend components, implement RESTful services, and optimize performance across the stack while mentoring peers and ensuring code quality.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Hands-on OpenShift deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts: pods, deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, namespaces.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive frontend applications using Angular or similar frameworks.
• Develop backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA).

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs as required.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor juniors, and promote development best practices.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend and backend systems.
• Create and manage OpenShift resources such as pods, services, routes, deployments, build configurations, and namespaces.
