Job summary

Sigma Allied Services is looking for a seasoned Java professional to join its development team in India. The role requires hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and security, along with SQL and RDBMS expertise.

You will work with microservices, CI/CD tools, and agile practices to deliver robust enterprise applications. The ideal candidate communicates clearly in English, can design solutions, and contributes to architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in core Java with Spring Boot and Spring modules (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security).
• Experience with SQL and RDBMS like Oracle and PostgreSQL, and Web services (JSON, SOAP).
• Hands-on with Eclipse IDE, and test frameworks like JUnit; build tools such as Maven/Ant/Gradle; Git workflows.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and test-driven development practices.
• Strong English communication skills, clear articulation of ideas in writing and speech.
• Experience with Kafka and Zookeeper; knowledge of microservice architectures and cloud deployment concepts.
• Exposure to payments domain is a plus.
• Knowledge of design patterns and enterprise security concepts.

Essential knowledge, skills & attributes

Hands on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, Spring (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security), SQL, RDBMS (Oracle and PostGRES), Web-services (JSON and SOAP)

Hands on experience of using Eclipse/My Eclipse IDE

Hands on experience of writing Junit test cases, working with Maven/Ant/Gradle, GIT

Experience of working with Agile methodologies.

Personal attributes are strong logical and Analytical Skills, design skills, should be able to articulate and present his/her thoughts very clearly and precisely in English (written and verbal)

Hands on experience on Kafka, Zookeeper

Additional/Desirable capabilities

Experience of working in Payments application Domain

Hands on experience of developing microservice application & deploying them on any one of the public cloud like Google, AWS, Azure

Knowledge of Security concepts (E.g. authentication, authorization, confidentiality etc.) and protocols, their usage in enterprise application
