Job summary

Comviva in Maharashtra, India seeks a seasoned Java backend developer to architect, build and improve scalable microservices using Spring Boot. You will design RESTful APIs, optimize performance, and integrate with enterprise systems while following secure coding practices.

The role requires 5-9 years’ Java experience, strong OOP, and experience with Spring MVC/JDBC. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and active participation in Agile ceremonies are expected.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, enhance, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices based on business and technical requirements.
• Modify and improve existing backend services to increase performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate backend applications with enterprise systems, databases, and third-party APIs.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient communication across microservices and external systems.
• Support API integrations across multiple platforms and external service providers.
• Monitor application performance and ensure smooth operation in high-volume transactional environments.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application code, database interactions, and service response times.
• Develop clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables through comprehensive testing and validation.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, UI Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams within telecom and/or eCommerce environments.
• Participate actively in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, integrations, modules, and system architecture.
• Document enhancements, technical decisions, implementation details, and service modifications.
• Provide timely updates on development progress, risks, and deliverables.
