Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Java Backend Developer to build and maintain backend services with Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices. The role includes production support, incident resolution, and participation in a rotational on-call model.

The work location is Bengaluru with a hybrid setup: 3 days in-office (JP Nagar). The ideal candidate has hands-on Java experience, strong debugging skills, and familiarity with log analysis and RCA processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java backend development including core Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of low‑level design (LLD) principles.
• Proficient with version control systems, preferably Git, and debugging tools.
• Experience in production support, incident handling, and RCA/log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to production incidents and alerts.
• Troubleshoot service failures, API errors, performance issues, and defects.
• Perform RCA and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support package/library upgrades and deployment validations.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams to resolve issues.
