FIS is seeking a Java Developer to join our Bangalore/Chennai team. You will work on core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and related technologies to design, develop, and debug enterprise-grade financial software.

The role demands 3-6 years of full stack Java experience, strong communication skills, and collaboration with product managers and clients to translate requirements into robust solutions within a fintech context.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience as a full stack Java development engineer.
• Hands on experience of Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Git, Jenkins.
• In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, code, debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products.
• Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and modifications.
• Participate in software design meetings and determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on design and business needs.
• Write code, complete programming, and test and debug applications using current technologies.
• Prepare installation and maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Train internal teams and deliver presentations as needed.

What you will be doing

• Analyse, design, program debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participate in software design meetings and analyses user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
  • May deliver informational and decision‑seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
