Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services seeks an experienced Java Developer with strong Elasticsearch experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and search solutions. You will work on Java-based microservices, Elasticsearch integration, REST APIs, and high-volume data/search applications.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Elasticsearch, with a focus on performance tuning and reliable deployments in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 8/11/17+ with strong backend development experience.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Extensive Elasticsearch experience including Query DSL and indexing/mapping.
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational DB experience.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Solid understanding of data structures and OOP principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement Elasticsearch-based search solutions and optimize queries.
• Index, map, and optimize Elasticsearch indexes for performance.
• Troubleshoot and tune application and Elasticsearch performance.
• Integrate Elasticsearch with Java applications and services.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams.
• Follow best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong Elasticsearch experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and search solutions. The candidate will work on Java-based microservices, Elasticsearch integration, REST APIs, and high-volume data/search applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement Elasticsearch-based search solutions, indexing, querying, and data retrieval.
• Create and optimize Elasticsearch queries, mappings, analyzers, and indexes.
• Troubleshoot and improve application and Elasticsearch performance.
• Integrate Elasticsearch with Java applications and backend services.
• Work with databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB as required.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production support.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams.
• Follow best practices for security, scalability, reliability, and clean coding.
