Job summary

Cloudxtreme in India is seeking a seasoned Java/J2EE professional to design and implement scalable search solutions. You will lead architecture decisions, guide a development team, and build microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs.

The role includes AWS deployments, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and working with SOLR or LucidWorks Fusion to optimize search relevance. The ideal candidate has 3-10 years of extensive experience, strong data-structure knowledge, and hands-on CI/CD

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of Java/J2EE experience with strong design principles.
• Proven design and development of search solutions using SOLR or LucidWorks Fusion (recent 3–4 years).
• Solid knowledge of search engines, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience indexing, querying and analyzing large structured/unstructured data; knowledge of ranking models.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices; AWS exposure.
• Experience as a Tech Lead guiding architecture of critical software; Docker/Kubernetes proficiency.
• Proficiency with SQL databases and NoSQL concepts; familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable search solutions and architectures.
• Lead technical guidance for team on software design and best practices.
• Develop microservices using Spring Boot and expose RESTful APIs.
• Maintain deployments on AWS with containerized services (Docker/Kubernetes).

Role & responsibilities

At least 3-10 years of experience in Java/J2EE and related technologies with sound understanding of design principles.

Proven experience in designing and developing search solutions using Apache SOLR and/or Lucid Works Fusion in the last 3 to 4 years.

Solid understanding of search engine technologies, search algorithms, and data structures

Experience with indexing, querying, and analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Familiarity with search relevance models and ranking techniques.

Good hands on experience with Spring Boot Framework, RESTful APIs, and Microservices based architecture

Experience as a Tech Lead and ability to provide guidance in designing and architecting critical software applications

Experience maintaining and designing applications on AWS

Experience with building efficient distributed, scalable, high quality software services, microservices

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with database technologies and SQL

Experience in Agile methodologies, and CI/CD DevOps tools (Jenkins / GitHub Actions, GitHub Co-pilot etc.)

Experience with databases Postgres, Oracle, NoSQL DB. & responsibilities
