Job Summary

We are looking for a Java Developer who can contribute as an individual developer while also supporting team-level delivery. The role is strongly aligned with delivery timelines (TAT), code quality, and system performance. You will be responsible for developing scalable applications, ensuring minimal defects, resolving issues efficiently, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development & Delivery

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Ensure timely delivery of tasks aligned with defined TAT and sprint commitments.
• Actively contribute to sprint planning and execution.

2. Code Quality & Defect Management

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Ensure minimal production bugs and high code quality standards.
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback.

3. System Performance & Optimization

• Optimize application performance and improve response times.
• Implement caching mechanisms like Redis/Ehcache.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

4. Ownership & Issue Resolution

• Take ownership of assigned modules and ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined timelines.
• Minimize escalations through proactive issue handling.

5. Team Collaboration & Mentorship

• Guide and support junior developers in technical tasks.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

6. Process Adherence & CI/CD

• Follow version control best practices using Git.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
• Ensure adherence to development and release processes.

7. Continuous Learning & Improvement

• Stay updated with new technologies and frameworks.
• Suggest improvements in development processes and system design.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Java (JDK 8+) and Spring Boot
• Understanding of Microservices and REST APIs
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of caching (Redis/Ehcache)
• Familiarity with Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI)
• Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GraphQL and API Gateways
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Exposure to distributed tracing tools (Jaeger, Zipkin)
