Job summary

Cloudxtreme is seeking an experienced Java back-end engineer to design and build microservices-based REST APIs on Azure. You will work on scalable services, event-driven patterns, and containerized deployments using Docker and AKS.

The role involves integrating Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL, Redis caching, and Azure services such as Service Bus, Key Vault, and App Configuration. You will emphasize observability, security, and reliable deployments, with GitLab CI/CD and canary releases as a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with containers and AKS; ability to write Dockerfiles.
• Exposure to Azure services (Service Bus, Key Vault, App Configuration).
• Azure networking fundamentals and event-driven messaging systems.

Role & responsibilities

Mandatory skills / Required Qualifications

• Primary skill: Java, Springboot, Microservices Architecture
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices, with familiarity with containers and AKS ( Able to write docker file etc., )
• Azure services : Exposure to Azure services (Service Bus, Key Vault, App Configuration, Static Web Apps), Azure networking ( fundamental knowledge )
• Experience with event-driven and messaging systems (Azure Service Bus or Solace) and Redis caching
• Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases ( Cosmos DB and/or PostgreSQL)

Good to have - Qualifications

• Instrument services for observability ( DataDog, and Azure Monitor ) and follow security best practices
• Deploy via GitLab CI/CD and support canary releases and feature-flagged rollouts. ( ADO / Azure Devops / Git / JIRA )
• Prior experience on Power Platform to Azure PaaS migrations

Interest or experience in Azure AI Foundry or Azure OpenAI-integrated development
