Job summary

Alten in Chennai, India is seeking a Java-focused software developer with 3+ years of web development experience. You will work with servlets, EJB, Angular, and JSON in a complex enterprise environment.

Strong knowledge of Eclipse/Maven/Jenkins/Sonar, Tomcat/WildFly, Windows server basics, SQL, XML/XPath/DOM is preferred. Familiarity with Spring/Angular migration is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java development in a web environment (servlets, EJB, Angular, JSON).

Job description

Required:

• Experience with Java development in a web environment (servlets, EJB, Angular, JSON)
• Experience with common development and integration tools such as Eclipse IDE, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar
• Java application server experience: Tomcat and/or Wildlfy
• Basic Windows server skills: services, batch files, IIS.
• Basic database skills: use database clients and write basic SQL queries
• Familiarity with XML, especially use of Java XML tools such as Xpath and DOM

Desirable:

• Previous experience with JIRA & Confluence or similar systems.
• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with XSLT (XSL transformations)
• Familiarity with Spring Framework to migrate legacy project to Angular
• Linux familiarity: basic shell commands, systemctl for service management
