The Closing Gap is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design and build enterprise-grade web applications using Core Java, JSP, and Servlets. You will contribute to MVC-based architectures (Struts experience is a plus) and ensure performance and scalability across deployments.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust backend services, integrate with relational databases via JDBC/SQL, and manage deployments on Tomcat/WebLogic.

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to build and maintain enterprise-grade web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, JSP, Servlets, and a good understanding of MVC architecture, with Struts experience as an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable web applications using Core Java, JSP, and Servlets

Build and maintain MVC-based applications (Struts framework preferred)

Develop backend business logic ensuring performance and scalability

Integrate applications with relational databases using JDBC and SQL

Deploy and manage applications on Apache Tomcat / WebLogic servers

Perform bug fixing, performance tuning, and code optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth

Key Requirements

Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17)

Expertise in JSP and Servlets (mandatory)

Good understanding of Struts (added advantage)

Solid experience with JDBC and SQL databases

Experience in application deployment on Tomcat/WebLogic

Strong knowledge of OOP concepts, design patterns, and SOLID principles

Ability to troubleshoot and optimize production systems
