Job summary

Capco is seeking an experienced backend developer in Bengaluru to design and implement Java-based microservices with Kafka, Spring Boot, and cloud integrations (AWS/GCP). You will drive API framework work, ensure scalable architectures, and collaborate with global stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on backend experience, strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization, and a solid background in TDD/BDD and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend development experience focused on Java and microservices.
• Experience with Kafka, AWS, GCP and container orchestration.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, REST/Web services and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of TDD/BDD and production incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead API framework design and development across services.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to craft scalable solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process and application improvements and gain stakeholder buy-in.
• Proactively report risks, issues and blockers to the team and stakeholders.
• Provide expertise on production incidents and RCA for delivered features.

Skills and Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java, Microservices and Kafka

Java Sprint boot Microservices with expected knowledge of Kafka, Basic knowledge of Database. Experience with TDD and BDD. Must have experience with GCP or AWS. Also experience with Kubernetes and containers

• Hands-on experience on Spring boot, Webservices, Microservices, SOAP and REST
• Drive analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and obtain broader buy-in across global stakeholders
• Pro-actively share and report risks, issues, challenges, blockers and forthcoming tasks with the stakeholders and team
• Expertise in leading and managing technical aspects of API framework design and development
• Understanding of overall production Incidents / RCA for any feature that is delivered.
