Job summary

Worldpay India Pte Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer II (Java Backend Technologies) to join the Access to Cards payments team and shape the future of global commerce.

You’ll own development of account updater services, collaborate with product owners, and lead a 3-4 person team while cross-skilling for development and DevOps. Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices, and CI/CD is essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of Core Java development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience with REST/SOAP web services and API testing.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and AWS.
• CI/CD and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes; Jenkins experience.

Responsibilities

What you’ll own

• Development of Account updater services, regular interaction with teammates and product owner, lead a team of 3-4 people, cross-skilled to support both development and DevOps efforts.
• Analyzes, designs, programs, debug and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs.
• Knowledge of web service technologies (REST/SOAP) and API based automation testing.
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, Postgres.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) through Jenkins or similar.
• Containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.

What you’ll bring

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Web services, SQL, NoSQL, microservices architecture, AWS.
• Experience with frameworks - Spring, Hibernate, Junit (Unit testing), Spring Batch.
• Knowledge of design patterns, servers - Tomcat and JBoss.
• Sound knowledge of databases - RDBMS, PostgreSQL, Cassandra.
• Experience with Containerized implementations - Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift platform.
• Stream processing - Apache Kafka, Active MQ.
• Background of building Web applications is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Ability to decipher requirements into design and follow good coding/SDLC practices, end to end ownership.
• Experience with CICD/DevOps tools - Jenkins, Ansible.
• Should be comfortable with AI tools and terminologies.
