Job summary

Citi in India (Maharashtra) is seeking a Senior Developer with 4+ years of enterprise web app experience in Java/J2EE and Oracle. You will work on building a highly scalable Regulatory Reporting platform, implementing microservices, and integrating with legacy and external systems.

Based in India, you will report to the Technology Team Lead in Pune, work in an Agile/DevOps environment, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Over 4+ years of enterprise Web application development using Java/J2EE and Oracle as backend.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, PySpark, and microservices on Linux.
• Experience consuming messages from MQ such as Kafka.
• Ability to work independently with good communication on large/complex projects.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a suite of microservices for Regulatory platform processes.
• Implement a framework to integrate into legacy systems and external systems.
• Hands-on coding, unit tests, performance tests, and maintaining high code quality.
• Respond quickly to business requirements and management requests.
• Be well versed in the Agile Development Life Cycle.

• Should have knowledge of Spring Boot, PySpark, Microservices embedded tomcat on Linux environments.

Job Background/context

• The position is based in India and will require the candidate to work on creating a framework for a highly extensible Regulatory Reporting platform
• This role will report to the Technology Team lead in Pune.
• Candidate will work independently and is highly self motivated.
• Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs
• The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
• Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources

Key Responsibilities

• A seasoned SME and technical specialist in Investment domain
• Implement and maintain a suite of microservices for Regulatory platform processes.
• Implement a framework to integrate into legacy systems and external systems.
• Hands on coding, authoring unit tests, performance tests and maintaining high code quality.Needs to be able to react and provide quick turnaround to business requirements and management requests
• Well versed in Agile Development Life Cycle

Knowledge/Experience

• Over 4+ years of experience in enterprise Web application development using Java/J2EE technologies and Oracle as backend database.
• Ability to work independently, good communication skills, has experience in working on complex and medium to large projects.
• Expertise in Git and developing in Continuous Delivery pipeline Hands on experience in Core JAVA, HTML, JAVSCRIPT,XML/XSL,JSON
• Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot Framework, J2EE
• Expertise in WebServices –REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Akka is a plus
• Knowledge of NOSQL is a plus.
• Expertise in mocking, unit testing and perf testing of solutions.
• Should possess basic Unix knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands
• Strong design skills on Java/J2EE and Oracle based solutions
• Financial markets background is preferable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
• Candidate should be willing to work late in the evening India time on need basis in order to interact with Europe onshore team and to meet urgent requests by Clients.
