Job summary

Citibank (Switzerland) AG invites an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer for hybrid work in Pune, India. You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based financial applications, including trading platforms and payment gateways, in a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with product managers, BAs, architects, and QA, implement RESTful services and microservices, ensure security and performance, and contribute to CI/CD and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Java developer, with a focus on financial applications or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of core Java, Java 8+ (or later), and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience in designing secure, scalable, high-performance financial applications.
• Experience designing and implementing message-driven systems for asynchronous processing in high-throughput environments.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD; Linux experience and scripting.
