Job summary

TENARAI TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Backend Engineer (Java + AWS) to design and develop enterprise-grade applications, build scalable RESTful APIs, and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS.

You will work in an Agile environment, participate in architecture discussions, implement CI/CD, ensure security, and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java 8/11/17 and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with AWS services and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Work on system integration, performance tuning, and production support.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure application security, coding standards, and best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production and lower environments.

• Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Exposure to React or Angular is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or Prometheus.
• Experience working with global delivery teams and client-facing environments.
