Job summary

PurpleTalk, Inc. is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead solution architecture for large-scale applications. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams across analysis, design, development, testing and deployment, driving modernization and best practices.

You will define architectures using Java, Spring Boot, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), while applying OOAD, design patterns and DDD. You will mentor architects and collaborate with product, security and DevOps to manage

Qualifications

• 14+ years of software engineering with strong solution/architecture experience.
• Hands-on Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems expertise.
• Strong knowledge of OOAD, design patterns, DDD, scalability, performance and security.
• Extensive experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure; AWS/Azure certification is mandatory.
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture, DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM).
• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and Git.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead solution and technical architecture for complex enterprise applications and products, ensuring scalability, performance, security and maintainability.


• Provide technical guidance to development teams across analysis, design, development, testing and deployment, with hands-on involvement in critical POCs and implementations.


• Define architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Cloud, Databases and DevOps, applying OOAD, SOLID, Design Patterns and Domain Driven Design.


• Lead architecture/design reviews, define architecture standards, evaluate third-party technologies and drive technology modernization.


• Guide teams on AWS/Azure cloud architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native development.


• Identify technical debt and recommend appropriate modernization and transformation strategies.


• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to Architects, Tech Leads and development teams.


• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Project Management, Security and DevOps teams and communicate technical risks and architecture decisions effectively.


• Evaluate and guide the adoption of AI/Generative AI within products and enterprise applications.


• Design/guide solutions involving LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases, Embeddings, AI Agents and LLM APIs, including integration with Java/Spring Boot and cloud applications.

4. Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure; AWS/Azure certification is mandatory.


5. Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM/Bicep.


6. Strong database experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.


7. Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and Git.


8. Practical AI/GenAI experience with broad knowledge of LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases and AI Agents.
