Job summary

Capgemini India is seeking a senior Java architect to lead design and development of scalable applications using Spring Boot and microservices, while shaping end-to-end architecture.

You will drive modernization including cloud migration, integrate GenAI capabilities across SDLC, and mentor engineers.

Your Role

• Lead design and development of scalable Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
• Own and drive end-to-end system architecture, including design decisions, trade-offs, and governance
• Lead legacy modernization and transformation initiatives, including cloud migration and re-architecture programs
• Maintain strong hands‑on involvement in coding, including code reviews, refactoring, debugging, and performance optimization
• Integrate Generative AI capabilities across the SDLC (design, development, testing, and code review)
• Design and implement enterprise‑grade GenAI solutions leveraging LLMs and AI frameworks
• Build AI‑native systems using RAG, vector databases, agentic workflows, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel)
• Establish reusable patterns and architectures for GenAI adoption beyond tools like Copilot
• Define and enforce enterprise guardrails, including security, responsible AI, observability, and DevOps practices
• Drive engineering excellence and standardization across teams
• Mentor developers and architects, enabling organization‑wide adoption of AI and modern engineering practices
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Your Profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java (Java 11+)
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
• Microservices and distributed systems
• REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2/JWT
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs and GenAI frameworks
• RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search, etc.)
• Prompt engineering and AI workflow design
• Understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, and model limitations
• Cloud platforms: AWS or Azure
