Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Japanese Translator to support cross-functional teams by providing accurate and efficient language translation and interpretation services. The ideal candidate should possess strong language proficiency (JLPT N2 or N1 certified), have a solid understanding of Japanese business culture, and be capable of working in a technical or corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business, technical, and project-related documents from Japanese to English and vice versa with high accuracy.
Provide real-time interpretation support during meetings, calls, and video conferences between Japanese and Indian teams.
Facilitate clear communication between Japanese-speaking clients/stakeholders and internal teams.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure seamless understanding of project requirements.
Review and proofread translated documents to ensure consistency and clarity.
Assist in documentation, reporting, and correspondence as needed in Japanese.
Provide cultural insights and support to ensure effective collaboration between global teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
JLPT N2 or N1 certification (mandatory).
610 years of experience in Japanese translation and interpretation roles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Prior experience working in IT, engineering, manufacturing, or product development environments is preferred.
Good understanding of Japanese business etiquette and work culture.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and translation tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Japanese Language, Translation, or related fields.
Experience working with Japanese clients or onsite in Japan is a plus.
