Desktop Support Engineer
We are looking for a desktop support engineer to assist our clients/users with Laptops / Desktops / Server issues. You will be required to work on-site or via remote connection and assist with hardware/software installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and basic IT-related issues. To ensure success as an end user support engineer, you should have extensive knowledge of home and office systems, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal & communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and assign tickets based on the level of severity.
  2. Monitor IT Infra using monitoring tools / Dashboards.
  3. Must be capable of taking ownership of the user’s issues.
  4. Flexible to work in shifts/weekends if required.
  5. Providing technical support to clients support requests and resolving them in the mentioned SLA time frame.
  6. Connecting to users via remote access tools to find out the nature of the problem and resolving it.
  7. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  8. Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
  9. Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
  10. Troubleshooting networking and connection issues.
  11. Advising on software or hardware upgrades.
  12. Providing basic training in computer operation and management.
  13. Completing job reports and ordering supplies.
  14. Maintaining Inventory of the Hardware and software devices.
Requirements:
  1. Any Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any other equivalent qualification.
  2. Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician.
  3. Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
  4. Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
  5. Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
  6. Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
