Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Lead to support a large-scale e-invoicing implementation across multiple European Union countries and various ERP platforms.

The Technical Lead will work closely with ERP Leads and the IT Project Manager to drive the technical aspects of the implementation. The role requires strong knowledge of SAP and Oracle ERP environments, ERP-to-middleware integrations, e-invoicing platforms such as EDICOM, technical assessments, and cross‑functional technical coordination.

The Technical Lead will not necessarily be responsible for developing every solution directly but must possess sufficient hands‑on technical depth to understand ERP configurations, data fields, interfaces, integration specifications, dependencies, and technical risks while ensuring that various IT teams deliver their assigned activities on schedule.

Role Scope / Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the IT Technical Lead for the e‑invoicing implementation, supporting ERP Leads and the IT Project Manager throughout design, implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Provide technical leadership across SAP, Oracle, middleware, integration, development, QA, security, infrastructure, and other IT teams.
• Understand existing and target‑state ERP configurations, including relevant data structures, fields, interfaces, mappings, and integration requirements.
• Coordinate technical integration between ERP systems and internal middleware, as well as integration between middleware and external e‑invoicing platforms such as EDICOM.
• Review and interpret technical specifications, interface requirements, data mappings, integration designs, and solution dependencies.
• Work with technical teams to ensure required actions, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables remain on track.
• Support the IT Project Manager with technical assessments, solution evaluations, impact assessments, dependencies, and technical decision‑making.
• Prepare high‑quality technical assessments, presentations, project‑gate materials, solution options, and decision‑making documentation.
• Liaise effectively with Project Managers, ERP Leads, IT teams, Business Teams, Global Process Owners (GPOs), vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks, integration challenges, dependencies, and potential implementation issues and work with appropriate teams to establish mitigation plans.
• Support technical troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for issues identified during integration testing, system testing, UAT, deployment, and production stabilization.
• Adapt quickly to changing country requirements, ERP landscapes, technical constraints, project priorities, and evolving e‑invoicing/regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure technical requirements and deliverables are complete, accurate, and aligned across multiple systems and teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT/ERP experience, with at least 5 years of experience working on complex technical ERP implementation or integration projects.
• 3 to 5 years of strong experience with e‑invoicing solutions and implementations; experience with EDICOM is highly desirable.
• 3 to 5 years of strong technical understanding of SAP and Oracle ERP systems, including implementation experience.
• Good understanding of ERP setup, configurations, relevant data fields, interfaces, data flows, and integration architecture.
• Experience supporting or implementing SAP and Oracle systems in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience integrating ERP applications with middleware/integration platforms and external third‑party systems.
• Ability to understand and review APIs, interfaces, data mappings, integration specifications, technical designs, and system dependencies.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical workstreams involving developers, QA/testing, middleware/integration, security, infrastructure, ERP, and support teams.
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear assessments, presentations, recommendations, and decision materials for project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of technical risk identification, dependency management, issue resolution, and mitigation planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to proactively collaborate with different personalities, functions, vendors, and geographically distributed teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with changing requirements, priorities, technologies, and regulatory needs.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Direct experience with EDICOM e‑invoicing solutions.
• Experience implementing e‑invoicing or tax‑compliance solutions across multiple EU countries.
• Knowledge of country‑specific B2B/B2G e‑invoicing and electronic reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP platforms in addition to SAP and Oracle.
• Experience with enterprise middleware or integration technologies.
• Exposure to large‑scale finance transformation, tax technology, ERP modernization, or regulatory compliance programs.
• Experience working with globally distributed IT and business teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong ERP technical knowledge with integration and technical leadership capabilities. They should be comfortable working across SAP, Oracle, middleware, e‑invoicing platforms, and multiple technical teams while providing the IT Project Manager with the technical insight required to manage decisions, risks, dependencies, and successful delivery.

This position requires someone who can connect the technical dots across ERP, middleware, and external e‑invoicing platforms, proactively identify potential issues, and drive technical teams toward successful implementation.
