Job summary

NNE in Bangalore, India, invites applications for an experienced MES IT Specialist to lead design, validation, and continuous improvement of MES solutions in regulated pharma environments. You will partner with Process Engineers, QA, Production, Automation and IT/OT teams to deliver scalable PAS-X based architectures, ensure compliance with GMP/GAMP5, and mentor MES engineers across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in MES within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with MES platforms such as Körber PAS-X or equivalent MES solutions.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and electronic batch record (EBR) solutions.
• Expert knowledge of ISA-88, ISA-95, GMP, GAMP5, Annex 11, 21 CFR Part 11, Data Integrity, and computerized system validation principles.
• Proven experience leading MES solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and validation activities across complex projects.
• Strong understanding of MES integration with ERP, Automation, DCS, Historians, and other manufacturing systems.

About The Role

The MES IT Specialist is a recognised subject matter expert within Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), responsible for leading the design, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of digital manufacturing solutions in regulated pharmaceutical environments. The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring MES solutions are compliant, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

The specialist works closely with Process Engineers, QA, Production, Automation, and IT/OT teams to translate manufacturing requirements into robust MES solutions, leveraging platforms such as PAS-X and other industry-standard MES technologies. In addition to driving technical excellence, the role provides mentoring, governance, and thought leadership to strengthen organisational capabilities and delivery quality across projects.

What You Bring To The Role
