Job summary

Hitachi Digital is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Global SOC team. You will work as an individual contributor with a 24x7 Threat Hunters group, monitoring alerts from SIEM/EDR/DLP and investigating security incidents, including malware threats.

You will analyze logs, contain incidents, and perform threat hunting across enterprise environments while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve detection and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a 24x7 SOC environment.
• Hands-on Incident Response, Incident Management, and Security Monitoring.
• Experience handling SIEM, EDR, DLP, and email security alerts.
• Good understanding of MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Threat Hunting, and Digital Forensics.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS, LDAP.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, and Server platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and SOC use‑case enhancements.
• Share knowledge, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to continuous team learning.
• Stay current with emerging threats, attack techniques, and security technologies.

What You’ll Be Doing
