Job summary

EDAG in Gurugram seeks an IT-OT Integration Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to bridge industrial automation with IT systems. You will work on IT-OT boundaries, SCADA/MES architectures, and data exchanges using OPC-UA, MQTT, and Kafka. Hands-on with PLC/SCADA, industrial networking, and cyber security is essential for this role.

The position requires B.Tech and immediate to 30-45 days notice. Location is Gurugram, India, with an emphasis on integration projects and digital twin concepts.

Qualifications

• Background in Industrial Automation and IT-OT integration.
• Understanding of IT-OT systems architecture including SCADA/MES.
• Experience with industrial networking and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of control systems (PLC/SCADA) and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial networking (TCP/IP, Modbus, serial).
• Foundational IT-OT boundary knowledge; experience with open SCADA (Ignition).
• Understand ICT network devices (firewalls, routers) configuration & deployment.
• Fundamental OPC-UA client-server concepts and data exchange.
• Knowledge of MES, SCADA, Historians, PLM, ERP via OPC-UA, Kafka, MQTT.
• Data modeling using Siome and UA Expert; Digital Twin and analytics awareness.
• Experience with industrial historians/time-series systems (AVEVA/OSIsoft PI).
• Cyber security and OT security understanding; networking basics (LAN/WAN/VLAN).
• Team-oriented, good communication, ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualification : B.Tech, Experience: 4-8 years of Experience

Position Summary :

1 Background in Industrial Automation and IT-OT integration .

2 Knowledge of leading industry practices/frameworks for IT-OT integration systems.

3 Understanding of IT-OT Systems architecture and higher level SCADA/ MES

Detailed Requirement

OT Experience

Must Have 1 Deep understanding of Control system (PLC/SCADA ) and Electrical drawing .

2 Knowledge of Industrial networking (TCP-IP, Modbus and serial etc.)

Good Have 1 Foundational knowledge of IT-OT boundaries and Experience in open platform Scada (Ex. Ignition)

2 Understanding of icS network devices (firewalls, routers, IDS, IPS, etc.) configuration and

deployment architecture.

3 Fundamental knowledge of OPC-UA and Server-client concept.

IT-OT Integration Experience

Must Have 1 Deep understanding of IT-OT boundaries.

2 Knowledge of industrial and enterprise systems architecture, including MES, SCADA, Historians,

PLM, ERP and middleware platforms, using technologies such as OPC-UA protocol, Kafka and

MQTT.

3 Knowledge of data modeling tools (Ex. Siome and UA expert etc.)

4 Maintain a solid understanding of Digital Twin, Predictive Maintenance, Analytics and reporting

solutions (optionally AI/LLM-based approaches), and assess their integration prerequisites and

system dependencies.

5 industrial historian and time-series systems (e.g. AVEVA / OSIsoft PI).

Good Have 1 Understanding of cyber security, OT security.

2 Knowledge of networking components (Switches, routers etc.)

3 Understanding of networking concepts LAN, WAN , MAN ,PAN, VLAN and subnetting
