IT Functional Lead – Sr. Consultant S/4 HANA Inventory/Logistics

We’re Hiring: IT Functional Lead – Sr. Consultant S/4 HANA Inventory/Logistics

Location: Offshore

Work Hours: 1 PM – 10 PM IST (flexible)

Contract Duration: 2 months (possible extension by 1 month)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Consultant – S/4 HANA (Inventory & Logistics) to lead IT functional initiatives in a manufacturing industry environment. This role focuses on integration, process design, and delivery of SAP S/4 HANA Supply Planning solutions at an enterprise scale.

The ideal candidate will have a strong functional background in SAP MM, Logistics, and Inventory, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in OData service integrations with 3rd party systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering, configuration, documentation, testing, and delivery of K-C Supply Planning processes within S/4 HANA.
Support global rollout of S/4 HANA supply planning solutions across enterprise operations.
Work with ABAP developers to design and validate custom developments, reports, and interfaces.
Design data models (S4 → 3rd party) and expose them as OData services.
Document 3rd party APIs including endpoints, parameters, and formats.
Establish secure authentication protocols and monitor consumption (logs, errors, performance).
Apply agile/scrum methodologies for feature delivery and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with IT, business teams, SMEs, and external consultants to ensure robust integration.
Drive improvements in supply planning, STOs, purchase orders, inventory management, and material data distribution.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

8+ years of SAP S/4 HANA implementation experience (with 6+ years in SAP MM & Logistics).

2–3 full life-cycle SAP S/4 implementations (configuration, E2E testing, and delivery).

Hands-on experience with OData services for real-time data access and external integrations.

Intercompany STOs, Purchase Orders, Planned Orders, Inventory Management
Material Master Data (MRP views, BOMs, Work Centers, Recipes, Production Versions, PDS)
Production & Planned Orders, Material Planning with SAP MRP
Basic ABAP knowledge (debugging, functional specs, testing).
Manufacturing industry experience – mandatory.
Experience with Kinaxis integration – huge plus.
Basic knowledge of Snowflake Integration – desirable.
