Job summary

Persistent is seeking an IT Endpoint JAMF Engineer to design, implement, and operate modern endpoint management solutions for macOS across a global workforce. The role focuses on secure, scalable, user-centric management using JAMF and collaboration with security, development, and IT support teams to improve mobility and efficiency.

The role includes JAMF Pro administration (Composer, Recon, Remote, Imaging, dashboards), Apple DEP/VPP enrollment, and cloud-based management for remote endpoints.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years experience in IT infrastructure or endpoint management.
• At least 3 years managing macOS endpoints with JAMF.
• Strong knowledge of macOS (Sierra and above).
• Experience with Apple DEP, VPP, and Enterprise Connect.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting.

• Administer and optimize JAMF Pro and components (Composer, Recon, Remote, Imaging, dashboards).
• Create, test, and deploy application packages, patches, policies and config profiles using JAMF.

• Operate, monitor, and support macOS endpoints for remote users using cloud-based tools.
• Collaborate with Security, Development, and IT support teams on endpoint initiatives.
• Provide advanced support to global IT helpdesk and ensure high first-call resolution.

About Position:

The IT Endpoint JAMF Engineer will be responsible for the design, engineering, and operation of modern endpoint management solutions, with a strong focus on macOS-based enterprise environments. This role supports a global workforce and plays a key part in driving secure, scalable, and user‑centric endpoint management using JAMF. The engineer will collaborate closely with security, development, and IT support teams to enhance employee experience, mobility, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and manage modern endpoint management solutions for macOS environments globally
• Administer and optimize JAMF Pro and its components including Composer, Recon, Remote, Imaging, and dashboards
• Create, test, and deploy application packages, patches, policies, and configuration profiles using JAMF
• Manage Apple DEP and VPP programs to support automated device enrollment and app distribution
• Operate, monitor, and support macOS endpoints for remote users using cloud-based management tools
• Integrate certificates, certificate authorities, and distribution points into endpoint workflows
• Provide advanced support to global IT helpdesk teams and ensure high first-call resolution rates
• Collaborate with Security, Development, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Care teams on endpoint initiatives
• Support developers by understanding their tooling needs and recommending optimal endpoint solutions
• Integrate third‑party systems and applications into the macOS environment
• Follow documented procedures and operate within a process‑driven, highly regulated environment
• Continuously improve endpoint performance, security posture, and user experience

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure or endpoint management
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience managing macOS endpoints using JAMF
• Strong knowledge of macOS (Sierra and above)
• Expertise with JAMF Pro, including policies, configuration profiles, and self‑service portals
• Experience with Apple DEP, VPP, and Enterprise Connect
• Understanding of Active Directory, networking, and storage concepts
• Experience managing iOS devices is a plus
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting with ability to read, modify, and maintain scripts
• Experience working in geographically distributed, global IT teams
• Strong project and time management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives
• Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in fast‑paced environments
• Strong documentation discipline and process adherence
