Smith+Nebhew in India seeks an IT Director, ERP Data & MDM to drive strategy, governance and transformation of data across a global ERP landscape. Based in India, the role involves leading data workstreams, governance models and collaboration with Analytics and AI teams to unlock data value.

You will influence senior stakeholders globally, build high-performing teams and guide SAP modernization, cloud transformation and enterprise data strategies from Pune or Bangalore with a hybrid working

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in ERP, Enterprise Applications and Data Management environments.
• Significant experience leading enterprise-scale ERP transformation programmes and data initiatives.
• Deep expertise in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality and Data Architecture.
• Proven success leading global teams and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Experience supporting SAP modernization and cloud transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP Data and Master Data Management organisation, establishing governance and capabilities for trusted data across the enterprise.
• Partner with business data owners, process owners and technology leaders to drive digital transformation.
• Own the ERP data strategy and roadmap and oversee data workstreams across ERP implementations and transformations.
• Ensure data quality, security and compliance across the ERP landscape.
• Partner with Analytics and AI teams to unlock the value of governed data.

As our IT Director, ERP Data & MDM, you will lead the strategy, governance, quality and transformation of data across a complex global ERP landscape. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to influence major digital transformation initiatives, support the transition to SAP S/4HANA, and create the trusted data foundations that enable operational excellence, analytics, AI and business growth. Based in India, this role offers the opportunity to work with senior business and technology leaders across a truly global organisation. Please note that this role is being advertised in anticipation of an immediately upcoming opportunity.

What will you be doing?

You will lead the ERP Data and Master Data Management organisation, creating the strategy, controls, governance and capabilities needed to establish trusted, connected and business ready data across the enterprise. Working closely with business data owners, process owners and technology leaders, you will help drive Smith+ Nephew's digital transformation journey. In this role, you will own the ERP data strategy and roadmap, lead data workstreams across ERP implementations and transformations, establish governance frameworks and stewardship models, and ensure data quality, security and compliance. You will also partner with Analytics and AI teams to unlock the value of governed data and support better decision making across the business.

What will you need to be successful?

Success in this role comes from balancing strategic leadership with deep expertise in enterprise data management. You will be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders globally while building high performing teams and driving meaningful transformation. 15+ years of experience in ERP, Enterprise Applications and Data Management environments. Significant experience leading enterprise scale ERP transformation programmes and data initiatives. Deep expertise in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality and Data Architecture. Proven success leading global teams and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology functions. Experience supporting SAP modernisation, cloud transformation and enterprise data strategies.
