Job summary

DWS Global Technology – Alternatives is seeking an IT Business Analyst to capture and document requirements for Real Estate Equity products and support the Alternatives business. You will translate requirements into system-specific specs, analyze impacts, and produce business-facing documentation such as user manuals and solution briefs.

The successful candidate will drive Business-led initiatives to increase productivity and value, interacting with cross-functional teams across the Americas,

Qualifications

Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst/Functional Analyst within a financial services environment.
Experience within Asset Management, with a knowledge of Real Estate Fund Finance platforms or Private Credit Business would be a bonus.
Ability to use tools to create project artifacts such as business requirements, process maps, functional specifications and testing scripts.
Ability to partner with various front / middle office teams and development teams to achieve objectives and execute or drive project plan as required.
Demonstrated success with typical Business Analyst deliverables: business requirements, functional specifications, system/workflow diagrams, functional test plans documentation and execution.
Advance skills in MS applications.
Strong data analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work with large data sets, process flows and reporting flows.
Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Working with front office/middle office teams to define upcoming business challenges and determining required technology solutions

Work with the business to establish priorities & provide regular status updates
Perform root cause analysis on production issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and preventive actions

Additional Job Description

This role is within the DWS Global Technology - Alternatives team and will support the Alternatives businesses, focusing on Real Estate Equity products initially.

The Business Functional Analyst is responsible for capturing and documenting the full range of requirements, translating these requirements into system specific functional specifications to enable solution development, analyzing the impact of changes and supporting the business throughout the implementation process. They are also responsible for the production of business-facing documentation such as user manuals and solution briefs.

The successful candidate will also drive various Business led initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and adding value to the business.
